Nebulized coating
R&D department has determined the best method of application, in terms of yield of the PhotoACTIVE® TEX treatment, on the most various types of finishes and textile materials.
The Rotor Nebulization Technology is particularly suitable for delicate fabrics such as Non Woven fabric, for a homogeneous distribution on one or both sides.
Laboratory tests carried out successfully according to the regulations:
- ISO 18184:2019 Textile – Determination of Antiviral Activity of Textile Products
- UNI EN ISO 20743:2013 Textile – Determination of Antibacterial Activity of Textile Products
Main characteristics
PhotoACTVE Tex is a treatment applicable during the industrial technological process, which allows a disinfection and sanitizing action of the textile material, directly within the production process.
Like the other products of the PhotoACTIVE® lines (industry and retail), the treatment exploits the principle of photocatalysis and thanks to its colloidal formulation, and it is able to bind to each substrate in an extremely effective way.
Thanks to its powerful antiviral and antibacterial action, it effectively removes viruses, germs, bacteria, fungi with a continuous and permanent action. Furthermore, the particular formulation of PhotoACTIVE® allows it to be effective even in dark conditions as demonstrated by laboratory tests carried out to verify its effectiveness in all conditions (natural, artificial light, half-light, complete absence of light).
Its performances have been verified and tested in laboratories and prestigious academic realities also using influenza viruses and above all, the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID19).
The action of photocatalysis allows PhotoACTIVE® to decompose viral and bacterial loads that are deposited on the treated surface, even those spores responsible for fungi, molds and yeasts.
The coating thus obtained dries in a few seconds and is non-toxic and harmless and it does not alterate the treated surface in any way, neither visually nor to the touch.
The treated fabrics have shown, in the test phase, excellent antiviral and antibacterial properties, even if subjected to numerous high-temperature washes.
Result: the only product of its kind to have successfully passed the ISO 18184: 2019 standard after 70 industrial washes performed in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 15797: 2018 standard.
